About Us
Having been a barista and roaster for years though high school and college, the love of coffee has been a constant throughout my life. After completing my schooling and spending 20 years in a successful career I loved, there was still a yearning to go back to my love of coffee and make it my own. You could say I've come full circle back to my roots.
My coffee days started at a small local family-owned coffee shop in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It was more than a coffee shop. It was a place where customers came in daily, friendships were forged, students studied and took breaks, people explored various beans and flavors, grandma made scones that the whole town loved, and people formed community. It amazed me that coffee could do all of this, transcending it's function as a delicious caffeine pick-me-up and really helping people come together.
In college, I continued my barista days working at a chain in Minneapolis, MN while I attended the U of M. Here I got more responsibility becoming a manager and learning more about coffee as well as getting to branch out more with developing new drinks. But one thing was constant - the fact that people congregated there day after day, forming those same bonds that make up a community.
As I set out on this adventure, I hope to slowly build the same here in Redlands and in the area at large by bringing people together though their love of great coffee. As people discover our hand crafted coffees and support us and our community, we hope to expand to a coffee shop that will serve as that place for people to congregate, grab a cup, and get to know one another. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about.
We hope you love our coffees and thank you for your support.
